It is indeed a privilege and pleasure to invite you to attend ‘Nirvana Nites’, the forthcoming Area V AGM to be held at Timber Trails, Parwanoo from the 5th to the 7th of September ‘08.

MOKSHA COTTAGES: Moksha Cottages are the newly developed, high end luxury wing, recently opened to guests in December 2007. The Moksha rooms boast of the highest standards of luxury, with seperate sitting rooms, twin plasma TVs, international fittings, individual balconies and panaromic views of the valley...

HIEGHTS JUNIOR SUITES: Heights Junior Suites located in the heart of the property is where the real action is. This wing has been renovated recently into contemporary style rooms with wooden flooring and large bay windows. Junior suites are extremely child friendly by virtue of an extra sofa-cum-bed in each room and their proximity to the creche.

Press Conference: AOL Broadband donates 20000 Euroes towards Freedom Through Education

The Press Meet to announce the partnership of RTI, LCI & AOL Broadband in Delhi on Friday 4th April went off well despite the sudden heavy downpour that started an hour before the scheduled time and resultant water logging and Traffic jams on the approach to the venue. This did result in a few media teams not being able to make it to the venue, but still we had a satisfactory presence from the media and good presence of Tablers, Circlers and AOL/Wipro representatives. The event was well attended by Top executives from AOL Broadband , Wipro as well as Ambassodor of Ireland to india besides our own RTI, LCI top brass and Area 5 members.


Stories were carried on DD national, Delhi Aaj Tak and Siti News, IANS besides a number of websites. coverages expected on HT mint, Planman Media, and Neighbourhood Flash (in next issues of magazine)

NAGM GOA

Friends ,

The NAGM @ Goa was a fantastic fun filed long weekend;

This year we had a strong Area V representation- 24,32,43,50,149,171,184,185, 188;
For us on the NEX we landed in Goa on the 9th evening. That night our IPP Shiv hosted a social ( I could not attend as was staying a way out !);
10th morning the 3rd NEX meeting was held - we had interesting discussions on motions to be taken up at the NAGM on 11th and 12th, NEX accepted Area V table's offer to host the 2009 NAGM; Area X issue was cleared after the final report from YR Rajesh cleared the Dharwad table's of any wrong doing; In the night we had the hippie party at the Shiro beach - place was living it up till 4 in the morning ! We also had the X factor finals - with great performance from Area V - Tr. Puneet Gupa (AVC) did a impromptu and Cr. Shilpa (Area VC Ladies Circle) doing her act.

The NAGM proceedings were smooth and very well conducted by NP - Tr. Ajay Handa; Key decisions taken include increase in C form subscription by a levy of Rs 200 to accomodate budget for Table Talk; Motion to make projects to follow a much more e-enabled process; Election of Tr. Himanshu Gupta as NVP for the next year;


On the 11th nite we had the Mardi Gras party at the most happenning place in Goa - Tito's. Food & Booze lasted till early morning. Did not hear of any casuality except for a few ladies trying to walk home alone being proposed by merry makers near Tito's;

The grand finale for the AGM was the president's banquet - which unlike most banquet had an informally - formal setting - BEACH sand below and formal stage in front ! NEvertheless the performance by Abba preceeded the Formal speeches - which was nice I thought. It allowed people to come in late or leave early depending on their preferences. The formal banquet was not a sit down affair - allowing us Chairman to wear our jewels and be off stage; The revelry was at a high - we had a few tablers who could only find the loo under the table !

Got a breather from the NAGM on sunday - used this time to take in some sun @ the Calangute beach - which was really nice. I think the go slow lazy spirit goes well with the sand , salty water and King Beer. Took some very interesting picture of my 'subjects' which included tablers amongst others ...

There is one thing which I could see as a common on all people who went to goa - they did not want to leave the place and come back - but all good things must come to a break - so until next time ..
